My Princess is in another Castle?

As many of you know I have been with Dell for over 9 years. Before Dell however I was employed as a QA engineer for Wolf Pack Studio on the Shadowbane project. Dell has given me a lot. Number one being business maturity. I have grown a lot over the 9 years with Dell and I am the man I am today because of the experiences I had at Dell. Through out my time at Dell however I have always wanted to get back into the Video Games industry. It has always been a personal passion of mine. One of which I always find myself thinking about during the day at work.

Recently, the dream of a life time occurred for me. I was approached by a video game company and they wanted to speak with me about joining their team. After a month and a half of talks, thinking, and planning I have decided to make the move and leave Dell. It’s not easy saying good bye to people you have known for 9 years and it still feels like I am letting some of my co-workers down. But I can’t pass up the chance of a life time! I guess the way to look at it is that my true happiness could not be fulfilled by Dell… my princess was in another castle.

I still plan on speaking about education reform and technology integration into the classroom. This is still something I find interesting and think it will transform education for the better. I hope that you stick with me through this change and be apart of my new experiences and growth in the future!

It’s crazy I have so many new friends from my new role at Dell and will be missing them just as much as my old friends. To the both of you I am sure I will be around especially on twitter and even in the education space a bit. As I will be speaking with HIED customers on educating students on the game engine I sale. Also I will be speaking at many different conferences in the coming months. So I will be out there 🙂
